With flu season just around the corner and COVID-19 cases on the rise again, protecting your health is crucial. However, even with taking all the precautions we can, we may still become ill. While the idea of having COVID-19 may be terrifying, there are ways to treat it’s symptoms. Master FaXiang Hou has a helpful suggestion for reducing coronavirus symptoms.
Master FaXiang Hou is the director and founder of the QiGong Research Society. At the age of 13, Master Hou began training in traditional QiGong healing under the instruction of his father in China. Master Hou is a fifth generation master of his family’s Medical QiGong, herbalism, and other traditional healing methods. After finishing his studies with his father, Master Hou continued to study under five other skilled QiGong masters of various specialties, allowing him to expand his knowledge and skills.
After moving to the United States in the early 1990’s, Master Hou has become focused on incorporating QiGong healing into the western medical community. He believes that the entire world would benefit from QiGong exercise and treatment, including industrialized and developing countries. This is why Master Hou has concentrated on sharing and demonstrating the effectiveness of QiGong with both the general public and medical community. Currently, Master Hou has begun focusing on educating people on QiGong through online classes and video demonstrations.

Moreover, it was during one of these explanations that he had shared his suggestion for reducing coronavirus and flu symptoms. His suggestion focuses on treating tightness in the chest, dry throat, and coughing. While reducing these symptoms, his method also quickly reduces a fever. In order to follow his technique, you will first need at least 70% rubbing alcohol. This will help directly kill the infections in your lungs causing the fever and illness. Then using either your fingers or cottons swabs, place the rubbing alcohol on the following areas:
- Each sides of the nose
- Upper lip
- Behind the ears
- Jugular notch
- T1 area on the back
- Throat and neck (if throat feels sore)
After applying the rubbing alcohol, allow the solution to dry before repeating again. If you feel very ill, you can repeat the entire process up to four to five times. If you are suffering from chest tightness, you can also apply the rubbing alcohol to your chest. Similarly, if you’re experiencing a very high fever, you can apply the rubbing alcohol to your forehead. This will help to quickly lower your temperature within 10 to 20 minutes.
Ultimately, none of us want to fall ill to COVID-19 or the flu. However, it’s important to remember that even if we do, there are ways we can treat and reduce coronavirus symptoms. By lowering our symptoms, we can more easily take care of ourselves and get back to feeling our best.
