Improving Your Face Mask with Thieves Oil

For the first time, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended wearing face masks while going out to places where social distancing is difficult. As the CDC continues to study the spread, they have learned that the virus can be spread between people in close proximity, through speaking, coughing, or sneezing. This is not only to help protect people from catching the coronavirus, but also to prevent the spread from people who don’t know they have the virus. However, you can improve the efficiency of your mask through the use of Thieves Oil.

Thieves Oil, which I’ve talked about in a previous post Protect Yourself Naturally with Thieves Oil, is a blend of five essential oils: clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary. This essential oil recipe was used during the Bubonic Plague by thieves who became famous for stealing from both the sick and dying without ever becoming sick. These perfume and spice merchants used the blend on their hands, feet, temples, ears, and a mask over their mouths to keep themselves safe from infection.

During this pandemic, Thieves Oil is an essential way to safeguard yourself without the use of harsh chemicals. Being well-known for its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties, you can use this blend as a fragrant disinfectant inside your mask. Using Thieves Oil will kill bacteria that could possibly be breathed in through the fabric. You can utilize this blend by placing several drops on either the inside of the mask or a cotton pad.

If you are unsure of the efficiency of Thieves Oil, you can look at repeated experiments done by Dr. Annie Pryor, who has Ph.D. in biochemistry from The Ohio State University. Using bacteria from her backyard and her daughter’s hands after school, Dr. Pryor tested the blend alongside chemical household cleaners, including bleach. As you can see in the picture below, Thieves Oil kept the agar plate as clean as other cleaners, without the use of harsh chemicals.

Using Thieves Oil on your face mask while going out will not only help protect you from bacteria, but it will also be a relaxing scent to keep you calm during this time. It’s equally important that we protect ourselves both physically and emotionally. Thieves Oil is the perfect way to ensure your overall wellness.
